The DJ is one of the most important people in the success of any wedding reception or event. A Good DJ is not only the entertainment, he is also the "Master of Ceremonies" of the Reception. He keeps the event on schedule and maintains good communication between all involved. It is never good when no one is running the show, literally. The Best Man does not know when to give the toast, the caterer does not know when to set up the cake for its cutting, and the Wedding party does not know when to enter the hall. What's worse, they are all bothering the bride and groom for these anwsers. In the absence of a wedding planner, the DJ takes on some of this responsibility.
We work closely with New England Groove whenever we can, because good communication between the DJ and all of your other Wedding Contractors and Consultants is very important, especially the Photographers. For instance, if the photographer is not warned, ahead of time that the cake cutting or the Best Man's toast is about to happen, the photo opportunities could be missed.
All must work as a team in order to make your special day run as smoothly as possible. It is always a good idea to contract with people from different service types that have worked together before.
